A note on smoke points

Smoke point is not a single permanent number. It can vary with oil quality, free-fatty-acid level, filtration, batch and how the oil has been handled. We present smoke points here as approximate guidance, not laboratory guarantees.

For cold-pressed oils, the better rule is simple: cook with the oil; do not repeatedly drive it to visible smoke. When an oil is smoking heavily, it is already being overheated. Reduce the heat, ventilate, and avoid repeatedly reheating the same oil.

Guidance, not a guarantee: the ranges shown on each product page are working references for everyday cooking. Want to learn more about matching heat to oil? Visit our How to Use Cold-Pressed Oils guide.
